The time has come for communities to stand up as one for threatened individuals. One person can be shot, beaten, or killed but voices that Say NO! say a big Yes to the truth. That all of us are equal. That we have a right to freedom of expression.
We have to keep saying NO! In these poems, stylistic excellence is important but more vital is the expression of the spirit of resistance that has come from all Nations in TIME TO SAY NO! We have only just begun. The world can no longer be separated by barriers of geography, race, gender, and age. Together we can make a difference. We must challenge all others to join in with their daily positive action and say: NO! For it is TIME TO SAY: NO!
