This is the story of a colorful family and their fantasy world. A white mother, a black father, their mixed daughters, and a quiet unique grandmother, Gimonda, who has a grasshopper and a monkey as her travel companions. Set against a backdrop of African nature's bold colors, the world is depicted in poetic tones interwoven with fantasy that "helps us better understand reality." The BwanaVal family goes through a set of adventures where they encounter extraordinary places and creatures: Sabamon, an island without night, which rises from the sea; a swarm of fireflies that activates the Color Operation which distributes the colors all over the world; the Fall of Harmony and many more.
